Tiger Staff Shout Out to Mrs.Theresa Ramsey!!! Mrs. Theresa is a perfect example of a teacher that goes above and beyond for her students. She puts her whole heart into making sure her students feel happy, safe, and loved in her classroom. She also has an amazing ability to take difficult math standards and explain them in a way that makes it approachable and fun for the students. She is an amazing teacher, person, and friend! Pangburn is so lucky to have her. -Anja Miner

Mrs. Jeanne’s 2nd grade class learned about the voting process Monday, and then participated in the vote for the best cookie today. Students created a voter registration card, signed in to vote, and submitted a ballot. They then graphed the ballots to determine the class favorite and celebrated with a special cookie snack.

Thank you Rotary Clubs! ROTARY CLUBS PROMOTE LITERACY FOR STUDENTS In an effort to improve literacy in our schools, The Rotary Club of Heber Springs and The Cleburne County Rotary Club joined forces to provide dictionaries to third grade students and a reading book to the second-grade students. Schools receiving literacy items were Concord, Heber Springs, Pangburn, Quitman, Rose Bud, West Side and Cleburne County Christian School. A total of 805 students and teachers were given a dictionary or reading book that would be theirs to keep at the end of the school year. The dictionaries are a resource for the Periodic Table of Elements, Roman Numerals, Multiplication Tables, Weights and Measures, Braille and Sign Language, Facts about Planets, Maps of the World, and other learning materials. The book titled “Andy & Elmer’s Apple Dumpling Adventure” provides a storyline covering the four elements to Rotary’s 4 Way Test which is used by Rotarians to evaluate actions and responses to actions. Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? Basic education and literacy are one of Rotary’s six areas of focus. Rotarians are “People of Action” who are making a difference locally, nationally, and internationally. The Object of Rotary is “to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.” Prospective members and guests are always welcome to join us for a visit. For more information on each club please contact Club Presidents – Magi McEntire, Cleburne County Rotary Club at 870-692-0593 or Leslie Jackson, The Rotary Club of Heber Springs at 870-668-0346.
