PANGBURN MUSEUM
Our FBLA chapter felt the need to preserve our town’s amazing history by establishing a museum this year. The Pangburn City Council gladly offered the use of the old city hall, agreeing to pay all the utilities. Officers Shelby Watts, Erin Lemieux, Haylee Myers, Coty Bell, and Rikki Stacy visited museums in other towns for ideas on how to set up our own. FBLA members pitched in to research Pangburn’s history through interviewing local residents, collecting old pictures and documents and searching the internet for information. The community was behind us all the way and contributed information and artifacts to display. Even the elementary students brought historical items and interviewed many of our older residents. We are very proud of our town’s contribution to this effort and realize it will be an ongoing project, getting bigger and better as the years go by. Plans for our grand opening are being made for April or May.
