Mr. Chad Ramsey
Elementary School Principal
Mr. Ramsey is beginning his 23rd year in education. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in social studies and a minor in English from the University of Central Arkansas. Mr. Ramsey earned his Master of Education in Administration from Harding University.
Mr. Ramsey taught middle and high school English and social studies at Augusta, Wilburn, Searcy, and Pangburn. He subsequently became the middle school principal at Pangburn. During his tenure at Pangburn Middle School, the school was recognized as the eighth most improved school in Arkansas in the area of benchmark literacy by the University of Arkansas Office for Education Policy.
He moved to the position of elementary principal at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. Mr. Ramsey credits his amazing staff, students, and parents with Pangburn Elementary’s many accomplishments. Among these was an $18,150 Arkansas School Recognition Program award for high student academic performance for the 2015-2016 school year. Pangburn Elementary also had the highest STEM scores in White County on the 2016-2017 ACT Aspire exam.
Mr. Ramsey believes that children learn at different rates and through using different strategies. He believes that strategies that ask students to persevere and work diligently are of the utmost importance and that keeping students engaged is the only way to increase achievement. Mr. Ramsey feels that building a partnership between students, parents, teachers, and administrators is imperative for student success.
Mr. Ramsey and his wife of 18 years, Mandy, reside in Pangburn with their two sons, Cole, 11 and Jack, 6. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending Pangburn Tiger athletic events.
